Coming soon

Verifico will launch soon as a premium provider of heavy vehicle driver verification of competency assessments.

How it all began

For some time, mother and son team Janice and Michael have co-managed a business called ALLTRUCK DRIVER TRAINING. ALLTRUCK has grown to become a leader in heavy vehicle driver licence training and assessment services in Sydney. The business is recognised by Transport for NSW under the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) program as a provider of heavy vehicle training and assessments. In addition to truck driver licensing — and among other services — ALLTRUCK provides verification of competency and pre-employment screening of truck drivers. The service is often combined with skills gap training and company procedure inductions. Verifico will become the verification of competency division of the business.

The market

Companies are starting to learn of their safety duties under the National Heavy Vehicle Law (NSW), and the responsible persons are starting to become more due diligent when it comes to verifying the competence of their drivers. Verifico is being set up specifically to support transport companies address their due diligence requirements.

What will be on offer?

Verifico will primarily offer what is best described as a verification of competency service. However, with that service comes some appropriate options such as pre-assessment eLearning, face-to-face driver training, in-class driver training. Moreover, it is anticipated, in time, that there will be an integration of heavy vehicle licensing services.

What makes Verifico qualified?

Michael, as principal, has nearly two decades experience as a professional heavy vehicle driver trainer and assessor. Moreover, he is completing a Bachelor of Laws and focuses his studies on all things heavy vehicle. Michael’s relevant areas of study are currently Chain of Responsibility, Australian Road Rules and Negligence associated with motor vehicle accidents. This unique combination of experience and education empowers Verifico to deliver exceptional service.

Timeline to launch

The to-do list is big, and starts with the usual suspects: business registration, website, social media, branding package. The next faze is where the team focuses on eLearning and resource development. There will be an offical launch once these key ingredients are in place. The existing business infrastructure of ALLTRUCK will support Verifico and it will simply be another trading name of Driver Solutions Pty Ltd. The plan is to be fully operational by the end of winter 2021. Watch this space.
